Description: CRB is a custom provider of research tools, namely peptides and antibodies, now branching out into the catalogue market, CRB has a team of scientists (synthetic peptide chemists and immunologists) and a commercial team of sales and account managers plus a catalogue manager and operations team, including accounts and operations assistant. The project would be focussed on helping to create the catalogue for Discovery Antibodies and Discovery Peptides. These are new catalogues being offered by CRB to its clients. The project includes web-based research into new candidate peptide and antibody targets, analysis of previous visit reports and past orders to seek targets and some technical writing on new products. The internship would also involve uploading the new products to an e-commerce site so a familiarity with mainstream computer programmes is essential.
This is initially a 10 week paid internship opportunity with potential to lead to a full-time graduate position.
Person Requirements: The candidate should be seeking a position in a commercial/market research role in a life science company and should have a strong scientific background with knowledge of chemistry and biology. The candidate should also have an interest in business/commercial science and marketing and be a fast learner and willing to spend time reviewing the current marketplace, publications and internal documents. An interest in peptides and antibodies is preferable. The intern should be able to manage their time efficiently and have an interest in science writing.
Degree Discipline: Biomedical Sciences, with an interest in Pharmacology and/or Sales and Marketing.
